South Australian drug users are leading the trend towards more crystal methamphetamine and ecstasy use and away from drugs such as heroin and speed.
The latest research from the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre reveals a nationwide trend towards increased use of ice although ‘party’ pills such as ecstasy remain the drug of choice for most.
The worrying trend also shows that more users are now injecting meth compared to the previously preferred method of smoking the drug. The research also shows that not only has supply increased making it very easy to come by, but the price is dropping as well.
As the problem escalates with increased use, so do the meth-related side-effects such as increased crime to pay for a user’s habit, increasing levels of domestic and street violence, and all of the other undesirable effects of drug addiction.
As always, prevention is better than cure so if you suspect that someone you know may be using drugs and you need some confirmation before confronting them, a surface test allows you to check for drug residue on personal items that they have been in contact with.
A Narcotect surface kit will allow you to test their mobile phone, wallet, keyboard, or surfaces in their car to determine whether there is any drug residue present.
Unlike other surface test products on the market, the Narcotect D4D PenTest kit detects trace residue of multiple drugs including ice, cannabis, ecstasy, amphetamines, cocaine and opiates, in a single test.
Follow-up, personal testing can then be conducted using saliva and urine drug testing kits also available from the Narcotect online store.
Don’t take the risk of someone close developing an ongoing drug habit. Test now and be certain.
